Whiskey Glass

Faced with a complete lack of whiskey glasses, we once again cracked open the mason jar boxes to find something that could sub in.

A whiskey glass is traditionally shorter and wider than most glasses – I’m sure a reader can tell me exactly why that is.

Fortunately half pint mason jars are shaped just like whiskey glasses – so they work fantastic!

Make sure you use the wide mouth version – the regular mouth half pint mason jars don’t look like whiskey glasses at all!

This drink was amazing – it’s a tequila sour. Here’s the steps to make an ideal tequila sour.

Tequila Sour Recipe

In a half-pint mason jar (or a whiskey glass if you have one!) add these ingredients in this order:

  1. 4 or 5 ice cubes
  2. 1/4 cup lemon juice
  3. Tequila up to near the rim
  4. Sweeter of the type and amount of your choosing. We used about 1 tablespoon of agave syrup for the most authentic tequila experience imaginable!

Stir, stir, stir! Or shake if you have a fancy cocktail mixer.
