Milkshakes are great. But you know something’s wrong when a small milkshake from Ben & Jerry’s contains 1200 calories, more than half the calories you need for a day.
We’ve been making these milkshakes for years, whenever we get that milk shake craving. They’re really cheap and have no added sugar so we’re pretty sure they’re really healthy too.
- 4 ice cubes
- 1 banana (the browner, the sweeter your milk shake)
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
Blend it all together!
We made this video of us making the milk shake. You can see that we use a bit of heavy cream in place of some of the milk to make it thicker.
Occasionally we like to make it a chocolate milkshake – it’s easy, we just add a tablespoon of baking chocolate.
This recipe fills almost exactly a pint sized mason jar.
