Coffee Mug to Go

I’ve likely owned dozens of coffee mugs in my life, but none have made as perfect a carrier as a humble mason jar.

Unlike the plastic and metal coffee mugs I’ve owned in the past, I’m completely comfortable reheating my mason jar in microwave when it has cooled.

But watch out! You don’t want to drop your mason jar mug on asphalt. That mistake will cost you, well, only about a dollar actually.

And as an added bonus, this is what I do with coffee I don’t finish. It gets saved in a large mason jar in the fridge.

Once it’s full I add cream and sugar to make a huge mug of amazingly delicious iced coffee – tastes just like the bottled Starbucks frappuccino drinks we used to buy at Safeway.
